Just moved One Step Higher

This month I celebrated my 36th birthday with a few friends and brethren from the church. We had an outdoor feast in my front yard and chatted about everything under the sun. My family also came all the way from Cavite to share the day with me.
Once again I am reminded of the shortness of our time on earth. Man’s life passes away like the smoke in the wind. But God has given something to hold on as we move along this path of life. His life in us is the real meaning and purpose for living.
I want to say it like Paul did: I’ve been crucified with Christ and I no longer live by myself but Jesus Christ lives in me. That is the kind of life I want to spend for the rest this life.
Serving God all these years has been the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me. It may not be as rewarding as the professional careers today, I am happy to serve God and His people and to rest in arms of my Savior after all is said and done.
Mid-Year Convention
It’s been awhile since we had our convention, so it’s no wonder this weekend’s fellowship was much anticipated and well attended. Thankfully, the saints were not disappointed, for God did visit His people mightily.
